Exciting news.....

I have exciting news.....(some of you already know) but for those of you that don't.....I am now a FULL TIME PHOTOGRAPHER! I am only working part-time at my day job, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! Big thank you to my hubster for encouraging me to follow my dreams....now if only I can convince him that my dreams need to be followed while living in NEW YORK CITY.......Stay tuned for more posts, more often!

Just can't get enough of the Great Salt Lake....Either can the Fletcher Family. Perfect day at the lake! Just look at that blue sky and clarity of that water! Beautiful family= Beautiful pictures!

The Cooper Family......meet Shawnee, Bryan and children! Cutest little faces...I just want to pinch their cheeks! Another great perk to being a photographer, even when I'm working, it hardly feels like work!
Felix, Erica and baby Q(uincy).....Family portraits in downtown SLC. Check out the vintage Air Jordans (didn't even know they made Nike's that small!) We always enjoy taking pictures of this adorable family.


Rasmussen Family fun at the Great Salt Lake. Meet Melanie and Jason and Kids (Melanie and I are friends from way back). Perfect way to spend an October afternoon.....good friends, lots of laughter and special moments recorded in the form of portraits!
The Cunningham family....I must say my favorite part of being a photographer is meeting people and becoming a part of their lives. I look forward to every November, when I get to shoot this adorable family! The adorable, little, blue-eyed boy, is Jack. I have had the pleasure of taking portraits of Jack since he was a newborn! I love to see how much he has grown and changed every year! I found his smile weakness this time......CANDY. All I had to do was flash a sucker his way, and he was all smiles! Can't wait for their Fall 2011 session!

Haley and Kenzie.....two beautiful women. Love the pictures with the peacoats...love the pictures with the purple plaid...LOVE the hat! We shot these on a raining/snowing December day at the Cathedral of the Madeline! Beautiful architecture, good company and young love....perfect combination!
My favorite family......The Hood family. You might recognize cute little Corbin from his cake covered one year pictures. I just adore this cute little family. I met Elisa, the mom, at my day job, about 5 years ago. At the time she was married, happy and content. Fast-forward five years, she now has THREE adorable children (I know one is missing....can you believe she is actually pregnant when we took these.....baby bump where????) I love it when kids make me earn their smiles. At one point, we just let these kiddos run all over the Great Salt Lake, and I (by I, I mean ERIK...;) ran circles around them to capture those smiles!

Meet Nettie and her BeaUtiful daughters! Can you guess who is the mom???? I had so much fun with these wild ladies in Downtown SLC last November. They were up for anything, and just let me run wild with ideas! So many good shots, I had a hard time choosing which ones to post! Enjoy a few of my favs :)

Baby Hadley

Announcing Baby Hadley......Such a sweet baby. This was my first shoot using only natural light, WoW! I couldn't be happier with the results!

Princess Bella

Beautiful Bella is 3 years old! This little princess was so much fun to shoot! She made me work for her beautiful smile, but needed no direction when it came to striking a diva pose! I love when I get to take pictures of children being children!

Maxim is 1 year old!

Meet Maxim, this one year old stud was so much fun to take photos of! He has the funniest faces! I could help but put together a collage displaying some of those looks!

Graham and Nielson Families

Remember Logan and Ayvree from a previous post? Well they came back for more and brought their whole family with them this time! Meet the Graham's and the Nielson's. What troopers! We ventured out to the Great Salt Lake one June evening, and although the scenery is amazing the smell and the bugs are not! These guys were willing and able to do what ever needed to be done to get the shot!

Meet my very good friend Karina and her BeaUtiful family. While in Jamaica for her sister-in-law's wedding, we couldn't resist taking family portraits as well. I love the feet/beach picture, SO adorable! Thanks Karina for such a great time and for letting me take photos of your sweet family! And I just want to say that at three years old I never left the state, let a lone the country! Those are two lucky kiddos!

Jenn & Chance: JAMAICA 2010

Finally some more photos of the amazing Jamaican wedding I shot back in May. This adorable couple was married on the beautiful turquoise water at the Beaches Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Jenn and Chance were so fun to take pictures of. They were up for anything and not afraid to sit anywhere or climb on anything. Their "do anything" attitude really paid off and made for some unforgettable portraits
